Strauss House Weekly Goals

We started our quest to a happy, healthy, lifestyle just a week ago. Michael and I figured our first post would be a perfect opportunity to highlight our goals and the steps we plan to take to live a healthier, more active life as a family unit.


In this week's post we are highlighting our individual long term goals, as well as our goals for the week. Our weekly goals are made with our end game in mind. Each one is made to help us reach our long-term goals.

Dawn:


Long-Term Goals:


  • Lose a minimum of 92 lbs by January 1st 2015
  • Run a 10 minute mile by September 1st 2014

Goals for Week 2:


  • Run/jog/walk 5 miles
  • Workout 180 minutes (in addition to the 5 miles)
  • Create a healthy menu for the family
  • Drink 64oz of water a day

Michael:


Long-Term Goals:


  • Run 2 miles in 15 minutes by June 1st 2014
  • Do 75 sit ups in 2 minutest by June 1st 2014
  • Do 100 push ups in 2 minutes by June 1st 2014
  • Lose 15lbs by June 1st 2014

Goals for Week 2:


  • Run 2 miles at a 9 minute pace 3x's
  • Workout 180 minutes (in addition to the 2 miles, 3x's)
  • Not buy soda or snacks while working
  • Drink more water

Bug, Spunk and Bubs:


Long-Term Goals:


  • Be happy and healthy children!

Goals for Week 2:


  • Try new, healthy foods.
  • 1 hour of active play, everyday!

Once we reach our long-term goals, we will set new ones. We will no longer sit still and be stagnant in our lives.
